We started because Meridian grew from 34,000 people to 147,000 in twenty-five years, its boom-era roofs are all failing at once, and too many of them were being replaced by out-of-state crews that knock doors after a hailstorm and are gone by the time the roof leaks.
Meridian was a farm town of 34,000 people in 2000 — orchards, dairies and the irrigation canals that still run through it. By the 2020 census it was 117,635, the second-largest city in Idaho, and by 2025 it was 147,340 and still among the fastest-growing cities of its size in the country. Whole neighborhoods went up between 2002 and 2008 with the same builder-grade shingle on every roof, and in this valley's sun and freeze-thaw those shingles are reaching the end together. Every hailstorm — June 27, 2026 was the latest — brings a wave of trucks from out of state that work the neighborhoods door to door, promise to "take care of the deductible," and vanish when the checks clear. The Idaho Department of Insurance put out a warning about exactly that.
Meridian Roof Works exists to be the other option. We're a locally operated roofing company — not a franchise, not a lead-gen call center — that books and manages roofing work across Meridian, Boise, Nampa, Eagle, Kuna, Star and the rest of the Treasure Valley. The crews that work for us are Idaho DOPL-registered contractors carrying general liability and workers' compensation, and the registration and insurance go on your contract. We inspect before we quote, we photograph everything, and we build roofs for the place they're in: 25 psf of January snow, 100 mph design wind, hail, and 206 days of high-desert sun.

We get on the roof and in the attic, chalk the test squares, and show you the photos. A lot of the time the honest answer is a repair — or nothing — and we'd rather tell you that than sell you a roof.
Tear off. Ice barrier. Vent the attic.
No overlays. Ice-and-water barrier at every eave and valley whether or not Meridian's code requires it (it doesn't — and January doesn't care). Ridge and soffit venting balanced so the new roof lasts its rated life instead of ten years less. The boring details are the ones that decide whether a roof makes it to 2050.
Insurance done straight
Dated photos, a storm report, a line-item estimate and a walk-through with your adjuster. We build to the approved scope, document supplements properly, and never touch your deductible — Idaho Code 41-348 makes that unlawful, and it's the fastest way to tell a bad roofer from a good one.
Answer the phone — 24/7
Hail, wind and ice dams don't keep office hours. Call at 2 AM with water through the ceiling and someone answers, gets a tarp moving and comes back in daylight. Crews work Monday through Saturday; inspections are usually scheduled within a day or two.
